Washing windows is definitely a pain! That is until I found this method from Chaotically Creative. It is so easy to do and the results are amazing! My Mom tried this method out after I told her about it and said that this worked on her mirrors too.
All you need is:
- Dawn dish detergent
- A bowl or bucket
- 1-2 sponges
- Absorbent rags, towels or you can use paper towels
- Optional: Toothbrush (An extra one that you won’t ever use to brush your teeth.)
Squeeze a couple drops of Dawn into your bucket and fill halfway with water. Dip your sponge into the soapy water, squeeze it out and then scrub the glass. Use the squeegee on the window starting from the top and working your way down. Wipe off the squeegee after each swipe with your rag, towel or paper towel. After you finish the whole window, use your rag, towel or paper towel to wipe around the edges to get up any left over water.
After I cleaned the window I dipped the toothbrush into the soapy water and used it to scrub the bottom of the window sill. (I never use the toothbrushes the dentist gives me since I have an electric toothbrush. Instead, I like to use them for cleaning or scrubbing stains out on my laundry.)
Now, I need a good tip for washing walls. Anyone care to share???
